Altimetrik Launches Healthcare and Life Sciences CoE With PharmaOS AI Framework

Altimetrik Healthcare and Life Sciences CoE

Hyderabad: Altimetrik, an AI engineering company, has opened a Healthcare and Life Sciences CoE (Center of Excellence) in Hyderabad, India, to accelerate AI innovation for its clients.

The center’s first launch is PharmaOS, Altimetrik’s agentic AI framework for life sciences, built on the company’s ALTi AIOS operating system.

The Healthcare and Life Sciences CoE is designed to take clients from a defined use case to a validated and governed AI agent in one week.

Altimetrik said more offerings will be developed alongside clients across the healthcare and life sciences industry.

The Healthcare and Life Sciences CoE brings together AI engineers and life sciences specialists to develop AI agents that meet regulatory requirements and trace every output to trusted sources.

The center will support work across drug discovery, clinical development, commercial operations, manufacturing, patient engagement and care delivery.

“Enterprises want AI that delivers meaningful outcomes, and in healthcare and life sciences, that means engineering solutions that are grounded in industry context, regulatory requirements, and trusted data,” said Raj Sundaresan, Chief Executive Officer, Altimetrik.

“PharmaOS is our first offering from the Healthcare and Life Sciences Center of Excellence, designed to help global customers build and scale governed AI agents across critical workflows.

Hyderabad’s deep pharma expertise and technology talent make it the right home for this center, bringing together the capabilities needed to deliver practical, industry-specific innovation.”

PharmaOS Offers 35+ Pre-Built AI Agents

The Healthcare and Life Sciences CoE has launched PharmaOS with more than 35 pre-built agents covering commercial operations, clinical and regulatory review, manufacturing, responsible AI and data modernization.

Each PharmaOS agent incorporates industry knowledge, regulatory requirements and evidence standards.

The framework connects these agents with enterprise processes and trusted data to support workflows including healthcare provider (HCP) engagement planning, clinical study report review, batch-release readiness and GxP compliance checks.

PharmaOS operates on Altimetrik’s ALTi AIOS™ framework, which separates the operating layer from the underlying AI model.

This enables clients to use platforms such as Google Cloud, Gemini Enterprise and OpenAI ChatGPT Enterprise, while also allowing them to switch models without re-engineering their agents.

The Healthcare and Life Sciences CoE is using this foundation to offer clients a path from concept to validation in one week.

Given a defined business challenge, agreed data access and a bounded workflow, Altimetrik’s engineers and life sciences specialists turn the agents into a working workflow using the client’s own data and connect it to a measurable business KPI.

Clients can then assess the workflow in their enterprise context and determine the next stage of investment.

“Across healthcare and life sciences, organizations must move faster without compromising patient safety or compliance,” said Ramji Vasudevan, Head of Healthcare and Life Sciences at Altimetrik.

“AI can transform that value chain, but only when it works within a regulated and governed environment and earns the trust of the teams who own the outcomes.

PharmaOS is our first offering from the center, giving clients a validated agent on their own data in a week, and the start of a broader portfolio we’ll co-create with clients across the industry.”

Altimetrik Healthcare and Life Sciences CoE to Support Co-Innovation

Clients engaging with the Healthcare and Life Sciences CoE can begin with a scoped, one-week co-innovation sprint focused on a specific business problem.

They can also start with a single high-value PharmaOS agent on an existing workflow or see PharmaOS operate live on their preferred enterprise AI platform.

“In pharma, AI’s value comes from helping our teams work faster while preserving trust in the evidence and accountability for decisions,” said Dr. Vivek Jha, Global Healthcare Pharma Leader and Co-Founder of DANRICX.

“PharmaOS brings together capabilities we look for: agents built for life sciences workflows, outputs traceable to trusted sources, and human oversight.

This foundation supports the responsible use of AI in developing pharmaceutical products, building trust in technology to serve the larger purpose of healthcare and life sciences, improving patient care and outcomes.”

Why Hyderabad Was Chosen for the Healthcare and Life Sciences CoE

Altimetrik chose Hyderabad for the Healthcare and Life Sciences CoE to position the center close to pharmaceutical companies and contract research organizations whose workflows will help shape its life sciences offerings.

The company will also draw on Hyderabad’s pool of clinical, regulatory, quality and engineering specialists.

The Healthcare and Life Sciences CoE is located within Altimetrik’s 22,000-square-foot office at Phoenix Equinox in Gachibowli, near HITEC City. The location is home to more than 300 Altimetrik employees.

The center’s launch further expands Altimetrik’s presence in India following its recent expansion in Pune, which took the company’s global workforce beyond 10,000 employees.

Altimetrik said the Healthcare and Life Sciences CoE will continue building offerings alongside clients across the industry, with PharmaOS serving as its first offering for regulated healthcare and life sciences workflows.
